Hot Springs

Benten Bath District

The “Clear Skin Bath” contains 9 types of natural hot springs whose slightly alkalized waters flow up from a source 1,000 meters below the earth.

On the 5th floor, you can enjoy the “Clear Skin Bath”—a natural hot spring whose slightly alkalized waters flow up from a source 1,000 meters below the earth. The open-air bath enjoys fresh water bursting forth from the subterranean source, the garden-viewing bath looks down on our massive Japanese garden, and the carbonated spring or special “bath-of-the-day” each have their own unique health benefits. In total, we have 9 different types of baths — not to mention saunas and scrub-down areas — for you to choose from! Even without leaving the bustling metropolis of Osaka, you can enjoy a short trip to a Japanese hot spring and experience just a little flavor of the traditional Japanese inn.

Types of Bathhouse Facilities

Garden-viewing Bath
Gaze out upon our massive, 3,000 m2 Japanese garden, Solaniwa Onsen’s pride and joy, from our famous Infinity Bath that will heal your body as you relax in it. The experience is like traveling to a secluded mountain spa!
* The garden may not be visible at all times due to weather and time restrictions.
Source Spring Bath
This is an open-air bath with a source spring that uses the natural “Clear Skin Bath” hot spring—a hypotonic, weakly alkaline, and high-temperature hot spring pumped up from deep beneath the earth’s surface.
Outdoor Baths
These natural hot spring open-air baths, with filtration circulation surrounded by beautiful greenery, can be relied on to ameliorate ailments like nerve pain and sensitivity to cold, not to mention helping those recovering from exhaustion or just trying to live healthier. Soaking in an outdoor bath, you’ll feel like you’re on vacation far away in a remote mountain hot spring!
Lying-Down Baths
Lay down in an open-air bath and soak in natural hot spring water. You can enjoy a long bath at a low temperature while being gently caressed by the outside air.
Silk Bath
The cloudiness of ultra-fine bubbles, soft as silk, releases negative ions which relax the body and mind.
Lying-Down Baths
Lay down in an open-air bath and soak in natural hot spring water. You can enjoy a long bath at a low temperature while being gently caressed by the outside air.
Carbonated Bath
This high concentration of carbonic acid enhances blood circulation and ameliorates fatigue, lower back pain, and stiff shoulders.
Seasonal Baths
In these baths that change year-round, you can get a sense of the changing sensations of Japan’s famous four seasons, and enjoy a richly aromatic bathing experience.
Cold Water Bath
In front of the sauna, we also have cold water baths.
Dry Sauna
In the high-temperature, dry saunas with TVs, you can sweat out all your day’s troubles and strife. In addition to a dry sauna, the women’s bathing room is equipped with a wet, low-temperature mist sauna.
Mist Sauna
In the women's section only we have a mist sauna where you can warm up your body slowly at a medium temperature to experience a relaxing and skin-beautifying effect.
Scrub-Down
This scrub-down method originates in ancient Rome and is said to be the world’s oldest beauty treatment. By adapting traditional and updated techniques, please enjoy enhanced beauty and health.
Private Baths
This private space has a mini-garden with an outdoor bath of true spring water bursting forth from beneath the earth. With two Special Rooms and eight Private Rooms, there are even rooms where you can enjoy karaoke! Wheelchair-friendly rooms are also available.
